Swimming

Brooklyn is a little like her Grandma Blaser she loves to have a party and is always looking for an excuse to have one.  This time she wanted to have a water party.  So we (by we I mean Bret) set up the slip and slide the swimming pools and put water on the tramp.  I was plesently surprised how much fun they had on the slip and slide.

Sailing

Blaser's have an amazing sail boat named Moonstruck.  We had been unable to sail this summer as Bret wouldn't let me that far away from the hospital becuase he refused to deliver the baby somewhere between the lake and the hospital if anything should go wrong.  Then we had a very small infant and had to wait for her to grow a bit before she could sail.  Finally she was ready.  I put her in her infant carrier so she could come out of the cabin with us.  She was having a hard time with the wind so we had to take her back below.
Poor little Sierra got sunscreen in her eyes and we had to wash them out.  She likes to stay below also.  She doesn't like the bright sun or the wind blowing hair in her eyes.
Brooklyn loves sailling.  She loves the sun, the wind, doing jobs on the boat, having her feet get wet when the boat heels and she loves stopping for a swim.

We finally got Sierra to come outside and enjoy the day.
I got a small break from tending London to come outside.
Brooklyn's feet are in the water.  This means two things.  She is having a great time and somewhere else on the boat Grandma is scared.
Bret is happy to be back on the water.
Grandpa is doing a great job as captin.  He is keeping us all safe.
Bret is "tending" London.
Brooklyn and Sierra are feeding the fish. Sierra loves fish.  She calls them all Nemo and she is their owner.  She was very sad we had to leave them there.  She was sure they would fit in our fishtank.
After feeding the fish the girls stopped to eat their own dinner.
We had lots of fun.

Cherry Hill

For the Anderson Family Reunion Carolee planned a 5K race and then a trip to Cherry Hill.  The race was in Ogden at 0800.  Too early for us.  However, we did get to go swimming.  Sierra is looking at the map on the pirate ship.  I hope she finds the treasure.

There was a really cool slide decorated like a dragon.  Both of my girls hated it.  Sierra did however like this smaller slide.  Grandma Anderson spent at least an hour helping Sierra go down the slide again and again.
Bret and Brooklyn spent most of the day in the lazy river.

After the slide Sierra stopped by the lazy river to see Bret and Brooklyn.
Sierra told Brooklyn how much fun the little slide was so Brooklyn stopped by to try it out.
Little London did not get to go swimming but she was a very good girl at the park.
After dinner Bret took the girls minnie golfing.

We had tons of fun.  Thanks for planning such a fun family activity Carolee.

Bike Riding

Brooklyn and Bret decided it was time for her to learn to ride her bike without training wheels.  Bret took off one and left one on.  After a little bit he changed them.  One day I was outside watching Brooklyn, the wheel was loose.  Brooklyn went to the garage and got the tools to fix it.  I told her if she was old enough to fix her own training wheel she didn't need them any more.  The next day I took off the remaining wheel.  We practiced for a while but then I had to go inside to feed London.  The next day Brooklyn was up early to practice some more.  However, it was raining.  During a short break in the rain Brooklyn said she was ready.  It was still very early and I had to get dressed.  Bret was sitting in the rocking chairr and could see her from the window.  I told her to go start while I got dressed.  I went upstairs got dressed, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair.  This only took abut five minutes.  When I got outside Brooklyn was riding her bike.  She kept going farther and farther.  She wanted to ride to my work.  When we got there she wanted to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  I agreed. We started. We got partly there and it started raining hard.  We dashed to the nearest church and waited.  We were closer to Blaser's house than ours but still to far to go without getting soaked.  I didn't have my cell because as you all know I often leave it sitting around the house and we had not planned of going far at all.  Worste than all of that we had not told anyone where we were so Bret couldn't really come save us.  I noticed that there were quite a few cars in the lot. This ment the church may be unlocked. I tried the door and it was unlocked.  Now I had to find a phone.  We found one and called Bret.  He was looking for us and I am sure he would have found us.  We learned a lesson in servival: Do not leave the house without cell phone and always tell someone where you are going.  Brooklyn we are so proud of you.

First Bath

London lost her cord stump and was finally ready for her first real bath.  I was a little sneeky and did it while the big girls were outside playing with their friends.  I was worried that with so much help Little London might be drowned.  London was a good girl and did not start crying until we were done.  At this point she was cold and hungry.

Fishing with Papa Dave

Sierra and Brooklyn but mostly Sierra were very upset to find out that Grandpa and Alan were fishing without them.  Sierra cried and insisted that Grandpa take her too.  Being Grandpa he could not resist the tears and thus promised to take her fishing when he came home.  Sierra was next upset with me as she needed the proper supplies.  These supplies included worms and a pole.  So she went to the yard where she found as many worms as possible.  She also started doing more house work so she could earn money to purchas her own fishing pole.  Both girls worked really hard and earned enough money to buy pink Dora fishing poles.  When Grandpa and Alan came to see us they had a small chuckle at the poles.  Alan was sure they would not be able to catch a fish on them.  Grandpa quickly saw this was upsetting to the girls so he was optimistic and positive.  He told the girls they would be able to catch fish.  The girls were so exctied. In the end I think their cute little pink poles caught more fish than the ugly sticks.

Brooklyn really loved checking the lines.  She kept realing in the line to see if a fish was on it.  Alan told her not to because he was sure there was no fish.  She was insistant and everyone told Alan to leave her be.  It was more important for her to have fun than catch lots of fish.  So she realed in the line and there was a fish!!!

Sierra and Bret also caught a fish.  Sierra loved the fish.  She calls all fish Nemo.
This girl is not afraid of fish scales.
The girls show off their catch.
Sierra is working hard to real her fish in with her pink Dora pole.  She is having so much fun.
That fish really swallowed that worm.
Look Grandpa I caught one.
Bret helps Brooklyn check the line.
Grandpa gave Sierra the job of helping to get worms out of the container so he could put them on the hook.  She took her job very seriously.  And she was very good at it.
Waiting fo a fish to bite.
Kevin is hoping to catch a fish too.
One more for the bucket.
