Cow Day

We love to go to Chick-fil-a.  Bret and I like the food.  The girls like the play place.  I try to take them on Wednesdays.  This is family activity night.  They have a craft, a guy making balloon animals and the cow comes.  Once a year chick-fil-a has an activity called "Cow appreciation day"  On this day any one dressed as a cow can recieve free food.  So, Bret dressed himself and the girls up as cows and we went for lunch.

My cute little heard even has tails.

Cutest cows ever.

Fly Me to the MOON

Grandpa Dave is always saying how much he wants to go to the moon.  Sierra loves her Grandpa and she does all kinds of things just cause he does.  She will eat foods just cause Grandpa likes them.  She keeps her pink bear with her at all times cause Grandpa got it for her.  Her favorite song is Cazy Cricket Stomp cause Grandpa likes it.  When drinking soda she will toast it with eveyone willing.  A few months ago she decided she was going to take Grandpa to the moon because that is what he wanted to do.

Kevin went to work planning a party for Sierra.  He had arts and crafts, trivia, games, food decorations.  Kevin gave us all asignments to help him.  I was in charge of boarding passes, moon rocks, snow globes, moon water and uniforms.  Grandma was in charge of helping Kevin, food and prizes.  Grandpa was in chage of the trivia game.

Finnaly it was time for us to go to the moon.  First a quick group photo in our space ranger shirts.
Everyone is really excited to get in the teleporter and go to the moon.  We have to wait our turn as the teleportor is not large enough for everyone to go at once.
Going down the stairs to the teleportor...
To get to the moon one must have a boarding pass.  Then you have to enter the teleportor, close the door and when the door opens on the other side you have been transported to the moon.
After arriving on the moon Brooklyn and Sierra discovered Kevin had provided them with personal rockets for them to use to travel around the moon in.  The girls loved them.
Kevin is so creative.
The first activity Kevin planed was making UFO plates for us to eat our moon pizzas in.  Everyone worked hard on their plates.

After we made our plates and waited for the pizza to cook Kevin had a fun game for us to play.  Black hole star toss.  There were prizes.

After the game we ate pizza and austronaut icecream.  We also played Grandpa's trivia game.  It was Anderson's vs Blaser's.  I don't really know who won because Brooklyn was keeping score for our team and I don't think anyone was keeping score for the other team.

Next we made snow globes by filling rocket shaped bottles with gliter and water.
Even Space Ranger London had a uniform and was able to come to the moon.

Our final activity before leaving the moon was a moon rock hunt.  Moon rocks were hidden all over the moon and everyone had to look for them.  The girls love the rocks.  I worked hard on them but everyone said they looked liked balled up tinfoil.

The girls got really cool sunglasses to wear.

Kevin also made small party favors by turning TP rolls into rocket ships and filling them with candy.  They were very cute.  After we all made it back to earth we went outside to take a few swings at the pinata.  Then we were able to launch rockets.  We had a really good time on the moon.  Brooklyn and Sierra keep talking about it.  Thanks everyone, especailly Kevin for all your hard work.

Willow Park

Granpa wanted to take the girls to the zoo.  When we arrived the peacock had his tail up.  He looked cool.  However, like bears at Yellowstone he was surrounded and trying to get away.  I was unable to get his photo.  However, he did walk right past the girls.  I think they may have touched him.  Poor bird.
Everyone is looking at the other birds.
Brooklyn is really interested in something.
Grandma got Brooklyn and Sierra some new flip flops.  These shoes were really cool.  However, they were Sierra's first pair of flip flops and she had a hard time keeping them on.  On the other foot Brooklyn would not take them off.  This resulted in a blister.  Which resulted in Brooklyn riding in the stroller.
Brooklyn took a break from looking at the bob cats to smile.
Grandpa and Sierra are also enjoying the bob cat.

Father's Day

Since Grandpa was in New Mexico on Father's Day, but was coming home soon after, we waited to give him his gift.  More fun that way.

This is one of Grandpa's new Coke cups.

This is his other gift.  A framed photo of Brooklyn and Sierra participating in team work.  I can not really say what they are doing.  Grandpa is going to enter them in a photo contest.

This is part of the Father's Day gift I got Bret.  These are hooks to hand stuff on in the garage.  He also got shelves.  Brooklyn and Sierra were really upset with me because these were not fun gifts.  They wanted to shop in the boys section of the toy store.

They each picked a gift....

Puzzles!

Weenie Wednesday...On Sunday

Before Grandma, Grandpa and Alan moved to New Mexico we would have a weekly campfire.  "Weenie Wednesday"  Due to work and way too many fun plans we had to have Weenie Wednesday on Sunday but it worked out.  The fire was really Steven's job.  He was doing a great job taking care of it.  However, Bret couldn't keep his hands out of it.

Kevin stopped by to cook his dog.
Everyone stopped playing to eat.
I know this photo looks bad...it is the smoke.  Why didn't he move?
It was really nice that Steven had a break from work and school so he could come with us.
Brooklyn and Sierra loved their table.  They were really excited to be spending time with the family.
It is hard to see what is really happening here.  Grandma and the girls are filling water balloons.
I am not really a fan of water balloons so this is the first time that I know of the girls have ever played with them.  Sierra really enjoyed them.
The girls enjoyed the game.  Everyone tossed the balloons back and forth stepping back each time their partner caught the balloon.  The girls loved the game.  I was really glad the girls did not break their balloons on themselves.  I don't think they would have enjoyed that.
Grandpa and Sierra didn't take verry big stepps back.  (Or any?)

While London was too small to participate she was a good sport.  She slept thru most of the night and didn't cry at all.
